Last updated 1 year ago

Macha is building a Federated Network for Social Layers with a mission to bring decentralized social content from blockchains and P2P ecosystem, and become a single discovery and distribution layer of new internet.

We're building an infrastructure that access social data from protocols and projects like Lens, Farcaster, Zora, Poap and ENS and many more. Built with its own data nodes network, Macha is developed to fetch, and index data from blockchains and abstract the data making it accessible and searchable to various applications through Macha Network.

With our mission to organize the open world's information and make it universally accessible and useful; we have added some most widely used protocols to Macha Federated Network like

What problems Macha solves?

Accessing different social data of multiple protocols on any blockchain network is difficult due to its nature and data structure which is fragmented and scattered on different chains and P2P Networks. Published content either on-chain or off-chain using IPFS and Arweave becomes siloed to a particular environment and is not openly discoverable to many users on the network.

Hence even though the blockchain and P2P data are public, there are a lot of blockers before the public can access this data. So it needs re-engineering for the future of the internet.

Macha bridging New Internet

Macha's Federated Network comprises of P2P nodes where a group of participants can indexes and abstracts data like social content of Lens Publications and Sound.xyz music, identities from ENS, Unstoppable Domains and Lens, NFTs from POAP and Zora.

The proof and ownership of all abstracted data is kept intact and can be viewed publicly in its metadata. Such data points are also made accessible to anyone who wants to use them for their own applications via Macha’s SDK and APIs.

This allows each user to use any application on the blockchain network like they usually do and have their data discovered by many other users not limited to a certain network or application.

How Macha works

We are building an infrastructure to make access, discovery, and distribution of social content much more easier.

Meta Engine

Macha uses Meta term as a designation to represent an indexed and formatted content/data from social layers to the Macha Federated Network. These Metas irrespective of their source are structured in a unified metadata format.

Meta Engine is a graph call to hosted servers of Macha Network for accessing indexed social content.

Search Engine

Search in the Web3 ecosystem plays an important role in aggregating the scattered data from various blockchains. Search is built on its own infrastructure using technologies like handles querying data with graph, context and prompt.

Things to experience with search layer:

  1. Whether you're delving into the world of NFTs like Lens, Polygon, ENS, or POAPs, our search seamlessly aggregates and fetches relevant data.

  2. Our search algorithm intelligently ranks decentralized social posts based on factors such as popularity, relevance, and diverse parameters, ensuring you find the most engaging content.

  3. Easily trace diverse user profiles and communities that exhibit on-chain characteristics, fostering connections and collaborations within the Web3 ecosystem.

  4. With Macha's discovery layer, your search experience is simplified. Whether it's a specific query or a spontaneous exploration, you can effortlessly search for anything that piques your curiosity.

Relay Engine

The relay engine is powered by peer-to-peer relayers which facilitates a peer network state to transmit indexed data between participants.
